Hosting a conference for 2000 people in Atlanta requires a much different approach than managing a U.S. Air Force combat range. DESA's done both.

Since DESA was founded in 1986, we've consistently performed contracts on time, within budget, and in accordance with the requirements and scope of work.

Diane E. Sumpter – Founder, President & CEO
Sumpter has devoted more than 40 years of her career to economic development. Her emphasis is on identifying and exploring new markets, managing operations, leading advocacy efforts for small, minority and women-owned businesses, and setting the pace for DESA's short- and long-term corporate growth.
Camille Shaw – Director, Conference & Event Management
Shaw, with DESA since 1991, supervises the development, implementation, staffing, quality and fiscal management of all conferences, meetings, and events. She has executed successful conferences for groups ranging from 25 to more than 2,000 participants.

Dionne Fleshman – Human Resources Consultant, President, TDG, Inc.
Fleshman offers human resource and community affair support for DESA, and has been doing so for nearly 10 years. Fleshman is the owner and operator of TDG, a firm specializing in human resources, administrative support and securing procurement. She has thirteen years of business experience ranging from classroom trainings to the development of marketing materials. Fleshman is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), with experience in all facets of the industry, including benefits, administration, payroll, recruitment, hiring and performance evaluations.
Sophia Vickers – Manager, Accounting Services
With DESA since 1990, Vickers provides oversight for DESA's general accounting, as well as management and consulting support for projects.
