Joint Venture Projects with CDI, Inc. for Richland County Recreation Commission

The Assignment:

DESA and Construction Dynamics, Inc. (CDI) teamed in a joint venture agreement for several Richland County Recreation Commission construction projects. Together, we oversee multiple job sites and are responsible for total management of the project specifications, safety, scheduling and budgets.  

Project Listing:

1)    New Tennis Courts

  • Construction of two lighted asphaltic tennis courts consisting of earthwork, fencing and electrical.
  • Jobsite Location - Polo Road Park
  • Target Bid Date - April 2012

2)    New Sports Complex

  • Construction includes four soccer fields, 1 baseball field with press box, a half-mile walking trail, two commercial well systems with VFD, irrigation on all fields and construction of parking lots.
  • Duties include site work, parking spaces, site drainage, earthwork, utilities, landscaping, irrigation and sports equipment.
  • Jobsite Location - Kelly Mill Area Complex
  • Target Bid Date - March 2012

3)    Three Press Boxes & Concessions Stand

  • Construction of three press boxes (approximately 288 square-feet) and Concessions Stand (approximately 1,254 square-feet) consisting of concrete slabs, CUM load bearing walls, masonry veneer, wood stud framing, shingle roof, finishing, plumbing, HVAC and electrical. Also includes earthwork and site utilities.

  •  Target Bid Date - August 2011

4)    New Gymnasium

  • Construction of new gymnasium with administration area (approximately 13,432 square-feet) consisting of site work for 70 parking spaces, site drainage, earthwork, utilities, security lighting, landscaping, irrigation, concrete slab, pre-engineered building, CMU, millwork, sports equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
  • Jobsite Location - Crane Creek Community Center
  • Target Bid Date - September 2011

5)    New Technology Center

  • Construction of new technology center (approximately 2,400 square feet) consisting of concrete slab, masonry veneer, miscellaneous steel, wood stud framing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
  • Jobsite Location - Garner's Ferry Sports Complex
  • Target Bid Date - March 2012
