How DESA Exceeded Expectations:

This $1.1 million expansion of Columbia's animal shelter facility was developed in partnership with Richland County and the City of Columbia, enabling the improved shelter to serve city and county residents from a single location.

The now 8,000-square-feet shelter more than doubled the size of the facility's feline holding area and expansion created an added 60 dog kennels along two enclosed, heated and ventilated corridors. As a strategic partner of the City of Columbia and Richland County, SC, DESA served as an effective communicator and had the project completed on-time, and within budget.
