Construction and Project Management

Construction projects are complicated.  When delivering on time and on budget are critical and coordinating a multi-faceted project isn't your area of expertise - put DESA on the job.  We can manage a portion -  or all - of your construction plan.
 
As a licensed Construction Manager, DESA:
  • Coordinates and supervises construction from pre-construction through post-construction and warranty phases.
  • Manages budgets and delivers on deadline
  • Works with owners, engineers, architects, and other participants
  • Selects General Contractors and Trade Contractors
  • Obtains permits and licenses
  • Oversees planning, scheduling, and implementation
  • Determines labor requirements
  • Monitors building and safety codes and other regulation compliance
DESA-managed construction projects include:
  • Parklane Tennis Center for the Richland County Recreation Commission
  • Latimer Manor Phase 6 for the Columbia Housing Authority
  • A CiCi's Pizza for the Columbia Empowerment Zone
  • Greenview Park, the Columbia Girls and Boys Club and the South East Park for the City of Columbia
  • Renovations to two elementary schools( J.P. Thomas and Gadsden) and construction of one new elementary school (Forest Heights) for South Carolina's Richland County School District One
  • Three renovated elementary schools (Bethel Hanberry, Conder, and Forest Lake) and construction of a Bridge Creek Elementary for South Carolina's Richland County School District Two. Currently, we're working with CDI on E.S. 19.
