DESA Hires Teowonna Clifton As Meeting Planner

DESA, Inc. has recently hired Teowonna Clifton as part of the company's growing event management services division.

Clifton comes to DESA with a strong background in marketing and event planning, having managed numerous events for BlueChoice HealthPlan, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, where she was previously employed. In her new position at DESA, Clifton will assist senior meeting planners in managing a variety of health-related conferences.

DESA's conference and event management director Camille Shaw says of the new hire, "We are proud to have Teowonna on the DESA team. She comes with more than eight years experience in marketing, public relations, community outreach, health education and project management." She continued, "Teowonna has planned and facilitated a variety of conferences, meetings and banquets and we look forward to utilizing her expertise as we move forward in managing several major conferences planned in the coming year."

Clifton holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a Master's degree in management from Southern Wesleyan University.
