General Information :
The 2007 National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR) Program Directors' Meeting will be held May 15 – 17, 2007 at Sheraton Buckhead Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss a variety of issues relevant to central cancer registries. These include program updates, technical assistance, training as well as an opportunity for exchange of program related information to Program Directors of the NPCR.

The mission of the DCPC is to conduct, support, and promote efforts to prevent cancer and to increase early detection of cancer. DCPC works with partners in the government, private, and nonprofit sectors to develop, implement, and promote effective cancer prevention and control practices nationwide.

- To provide a forum to build support for the National Program of Cancer Registries.
- To provide appropriate training related to policies and program components.
- To provide an opportunity to interact and exchange ideas and information with other Program Directors and CDC staff.
- To enhance the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC) by having all of the individuals in one location at one time to share and exchange information and experience at all levels.
